Nope, it's the same as Virgin Media. More and more households need a service and the upgrades to facilitate them didn't happen in time.

I think it was Newcastle United trying to bring Andy Carroll back to life.

Where are the Thunder Storms?
Where is Michael Fish?
Been a lovely day with a spot of rain in Cambridge/Hertfordshire today.
Maybe the Thatched Headed Cunt should start predicting the Mother Fucking Weather.

We had no power or phone signals & internet. Neighbours were the same, we thought it was WW3.

When they said the South West and Surrey were going to have power cuts I did feel sorry for all those Liverpool fans who would miss their match.

I work in Welwyn Garden City and live in London. Last night I left work at 5.30 and got home at 11pm.. Much of that was hanging around for trains that never came or for replacement buses with an angry mob, but also had a long bus and tube journey. Still, it was more entertaining than a normal evening in Welwyn Garden City. I didn't see much in the way of extreme weather though. A couple of big downpours.

You will see this happen more as all the utility companies are cutting back making what they think are savings in order to keep paying dividends to shareholders, I say it again the Thatcher era is beginning to rear it’s ugly head more and more.

Yeah, I remember the good old days of the state run utilities when nothing ever went wrong ever.

Currently having my windows battered and bins rattled, initially thought that might have been the reason since it has been off and on since the afternoon.
But no.

I understand a couple of power sources went out. And that meant widespread power cuts and no trains out of Euston , Kings X or Waterloo. Think that needs a bit of explanation as it sounds like a massive effect from a minor blowout. Presume the Frenchmen who own UK power were on holiday

I wouldn't fancy being in a tube station when all the lights went out

Definitely Putin. It was going on on Thursday too, had to work in Birmingham for the day and getting back to Euston was a nightmare with the station on lockdown and no trains in or out for hours.
67 - we lived by Fratton Park for ten years or so before moving back to London. Some decent streets at the top end of Southsea back in the day.

And of course,we never had masses of power cuts in the 70's, when the electricity companies were in state hands.

Doesn't matter why they happened, they happened, when being run by the state.
